About Camila
"I strongly believe that humans instinctively adapt to their surroundings and become a mirror of their environment."
Camila Mae Navas is a multidisciplinary artist, interior designer, and founder of Nlumec—a sculptural candle brand rooted in form, light, and intentional design. As a young girl, Camila was drawn to the play of light in physical space and the emotion it evokes. That fascination grew into a career designing environments that feel as soulful as they are functional.
Born in San Francisco, Camila studied art, film, and museum curation before completing her degree in Art History at Hunter College in New York. Her work has taken her from the Auckland Art Gallery in New Zealand to animation studios and production houses, all enriching her layered understanding of art direction, storytelling, and spatial design.
Now based between NYC and Miami, Camila works with clients globally—consulting on interiors, styling, and multimedia installations. She has collaborated with brands including The New Yorker, Nordstrom, Milk Makeup, and Frame Denim, bringing her refined aesthetic and strategic creativity to campaigns across print, digital, and social media.
Camila merges timeless design with modern reach. Through her studio and candle brand, she continues to explore how beauty, function, and emotion intersect.
Camila believes being a female artist means uplifting other women through expression, intention, and shared experience. Her work is a quiet celebration of individuality, environment, and creative freedom.
